Merit Lefkoşa Hotel & Casino opened its doors on October 29, 2008 -notable as the anniversary of the declaration of the Turkish Republic- in Lefkoşa, the capital of Northern Cyprus, which has a history that dates back 10,000 years, as the city’s first five-star hotel, and started welcoming its first guests in its service of tourism in Northern Cyprus. Rising in the heart of Lefkoşa as an artful edifice synthesizing Ottoman and Byzantine architecture, Merit Lefkoşa Hotel offers a scenic view of all of Lefkoşa from the south and north faces of its 14th floor.
A business and city hotel in concept, Merit Lefkoşa Hotel & Casino was a welcome salve to the many years of longing the people of Lefkoşa had for a five-star hotel. It provides its services to its guests with an accommodation capacity of 252 beds in its 109 richly furnished rooms in the most beautiful part of Lefkoşa.

For events with seating, our halls can host up to 250 and up to 180 respectively, and for cocktail-type events up to 1,000.
In addition to banquets hosted in the hotel, we organize events at the same five-star level of quality outside the hotel with our outside catering, whether the venue is outdoors or indoors.
Merit Lefkoşa Casino is also decorated to reflect a synthesis of Byzantine and Ottoman culture. It is the island’s largest casino, and its aim is to allow guests to relax with congenial, high-quality service as they try their luck after a tiring day.
